Rush
Charisse disclosed today that she had never heard of the band Rush nor had she ever heard the song that is currently playing. Well she’s going to hear it now baby! Crank up the Tom Sawyer!
Incidentally, Charisse and I have been in the market for a newer vehicle. I know what you’re thinking—“why do they need a newer vehicle when they have that kick-A Geo Prism?”
Answer: we would like to have a larger vehicle for when the new baby comes. There are no other reasons (especially not the blue replacement front fender or the bondo and primer or the missing hubcaps or the mysterious Pizza Hut smell that introduces itself whenever the carpet is damp). After all, the Prism played a substantial role in Charisse’s decision to marry me.
Now the dilemma: we test-drove two vehicles last week—a Chevy Tahoe and a Honda Pilot. I am strongly pulling for the Tahoe, while Charisse has her feet firmly planted in Pilot Land.
Please friends, make let your thoughts be known in your comments…I mean try to talk some sense into her.
Thanks

P.S. Happy 29th Charisse. Enjoy your last year as a bubble-gummer. Next year you’ll join us grown-ups (who carry heavy loads—not unlike the Chevy Tahoe).

Clint when you say Chevy Tahoe I have a burning in my chest and it makes me feeling good inside like it is right. What is that feeling called again? The Tahoe has a simple but bold look to it that says I refuse to get suckered into buying a minivan like that dope Walker. Congrats on the B-day Charisse. 1980 was the birth year of some real legends.
-Walker
Also Charisse, a little disappointed in the lack of music knowledge.
Charisse, I am with you on the Pilot. Stand your ground girl!
-Ems
I'm with Charisse on the Pilot too! :)
2 things:
She's never heard of RUSH? Boy that makes me feel old...
Sorry Clint, Japanese is better. Much more reliable and probably better gas mileage too. It's sad to part with the POS though eh?
(Pile of sh--)
I just read that black cars have a 12% higher accident rate compared to white cars.
Happy Birthday, Charisse! I didn't know you were a January baby, too. (My sisters and 3 oldest kids are as well......my twins were due in January).
I say HONDA. For sure.
Tahoe.
I am going to have to say the Tahoe, and this is strictly an educated opinion on the color is prettier! I don't know what else to tell you, but seriously Charisse you didn't know who Rush was? Good song!!!
I am for sure a Honda Pilot fan. We love ours. At first we were looking at the Tahoe, but we decided on the Pilot instead and couldn't be happier. It has been great.
Happy Birthday Charisse.
Go for the Pilot!!! It is a much better built car, and will last you forever! If you really want to know, get a membership to Consumer Reports. It would be worth it.
i have to say pilot my friends that have them 100% love them, and it's about 50/50 on friends that have t-ho's, BUT maybe not listen to me because we have three kids and drive mostly a subaru impreza, and you think you need more room for 2 kids, so i don't think i'm the best to vote, but yes we do have the old pathfinder that has almost complete oxidation on one side of it which makes it a totally different color than the other, but it has more room than the impreza even though she's not so pretty any more...
So many things to comment on here:
1- Rush is one of the greatest bands of all time. When I went to their concert, It felt like I was "tripping on acid" -- Although I have no idea what that would be like.
2- I want to buy Prismo. I need another vehicle for the fleet.
3- The Pizza Hut smell is no mystery. You may already remember this, Clint, and only called the smell mysterious for writer's effect, but the smell stems back to when the car belonged to T-Bone while he was a Pizza Hut delivery guy in Logan.
4- As you well know, I love Hondas, and am on my 3rd one, but I always want to root for the underdog, and due to the overwhelming support for the Pilot in these comments, I say get the Tahoe.
Pilot! (I have to admit, I haven't heard the song playing either)
Reese, I have never heard of Rush either!!! I am so totally with you on the pilot. Tahoe is way too big!
We have a Pilot and must say it has been a great ride. I love all the room, especially since extra kids can always fit. This is our second Honda, and we only got rid of the first because we needed a bigger car. Honda's have the higher ratings... Who's driving it anyway? Good luck to you Charisse.
Go Honda!! No need for American Built cars (The Pilot was probably assembled in a plant here anyway.)
I am going with wifey on this one. Those pilots are awesome and perfect for 2 kids. The tahoe is nice, just not a lot of space in the back for a stroller. Just something to think about. good luck-i know how these decisions must hurt your head.
Honestly guys, it's time for a new post. Just get the Tahoe and get on with it already! :) Maybe you could give us a review of 'He's Just Not That Into You' or another good move that you've seen lately.
You should have gone with the Pilot. Come On!
