Egg-treme Deals

I saw these really cute glittery Easter eggs at Roberts but they wanted $4.99 an egg. Being the spendthrift that I am I decided to make my own. I found this egg garland at Tai Pan on clearance for $1.80 because a couple of the eggs were damaged. With glitter I already had on hand I covered each egg and ....there you have it! My glittery Easter eggs for only $1.80. I'm addicted to good deals. I can't help it. Each week Easton and I take a trip to DI. I let him sit in the germ-infested cart playing with a germ-infested toy while I search the store over for treasures. He loves, I love it and as soon as we get into the truck we do a major Germ-X detox.
I hit the jackpot this past week and walked out of DI spending $74 for an end table, booster seat, picture, mirror and a brand new king size bedskirt and shams- oh, and a flashlight globe for Easton.

Ahh, the joy that comes from buying someone else's garbage. You know what they say "One man's trash is another man's treasure."

I would just like to be the first to point out how perfectly that clear vase compliments those colorfully labeled 'egg-treme' eggs. That is neat!

Why am I not surprised at your talent. I LOVE those eggs. I am going to have to copy you on that one. And check out your deals. Kasey couldn't believe that you got that table at di.

YOU ARE SO A THOMPSON!!!! That was definately a Mark moment!!! Jeff says he misses the daily trip to the DI with Mark and Reed. I love that you are cheap!!!! Sorry, was that rude? Not something I would have tagged you for at first glance! I love it. You so fit in with the entire family!

You are awesome! I am so glad to know others love the DI hunt as much as I do... there is always something to be found there... but it is very dirty feeling, and I have a hard time even wanting to touch the steering wheel with my hands afterwards... for fear of harboring some horrible germ in my car! Beautiful eggs though, you are so creative!

I am SO with you on this one. I can barely force myself to spend money when I just know I could find the same thing at the DI for .50$! Well, that and the DI and Walmart are all we have...
