Scenes from December 2014

My computer bit the dust and so I have a new one but it doesn't have the pictures of our Disneyland trip on it so I guess 6 months after the fact I will not be posting the remaining two days of our trip.  

Instead I will post pictures of happenings in our house during Christmas time- because that was only about 4 months ago.

I like how in the next few pictures Adriana is drinking soda from a 2-liter bottle while lounging in her swimsuit.  It adds to the Christmas cheer and to my accomplishments as a mother. 

Decorating cookies from a cute cookie kit that my friend put together for us.  The kids loved all of the sprinkles and icing.

Day Three

We love the beach!  The third day of our trip was spent relaxing and enjoying the waves and the sand.

Just look at that smile.  This boy could live at the beach.

While we were splashing in the water a girl came up to us and asked if we had our belongings up on the beach because some seagulls were attacking our bag and eating our food.   I looked to see a flock of seagulls pulling chips and other items out of our bag.  We quickly chased them away and noticed they had eaten a couple bags of snacks.   A little while later Marielle came and was getting a snack of goldfish crackers and a drink.  She set the goldfish down for a moment while she went to retrieve her drink and a seagull swooped down and grabbed the entire bag of goldfish and flew off.  Marielle started chasing after the seagull and yelling at it but it did no good.  The bird flew off with his buddies and quickly devoured the entire bag of crackers.  Marielle was devastated.  If you know Marielle you know she LOVES goldfish.  The poor girl hates seagulls now and says she is bringing a gun next time.

We had a little sand art contest and this was my winning selection.

This baby did not like the water.  It made her very nervous.
